Barenboim at Salzburg Whitsun Festival

Daniel Barenboim returns to the Salzburg Whitsun Festival for two performances with the Staatskapelle Berlin this May.

The orchestra’s General Music Director takes the podium on 20 May for Grieg’s Piano Concerto in a minor with András Schiff plus music by Rossini and Tchaikovsky. On 21 May, Barenboim conducts the orchestra in music by Wagner and Rossini with three featured soloists: mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli and tenors Rolando Villazón and Jonas Kaufmann.
