General Music Director Daniel Barenboim returns to the Staatsoper Berlin to lead Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra on May 5, 8 and 11 at the German capital’s Schiller Theater.
The production by Federico Tiezzi spotlights Plácido Domingo in the title role, Krasimira Stoyanova as Maria Boccanegra, Ferruccio Furlanetto as Jacopo Fiesco and Gaston Rivero as Gabriele Adorno alongside the Staatskapelle Berlin and the State Opera Chorus.
