Daniel Barenboim and Guests in Recital

Throughout October and November, Daniel Barenboim performs a series of recitals in Europe. The performances coincide with Maestro Barenboim’s appearances leading the Staatsoper Berlin in a new production of Wagner’s Die Meistersinger.

On October 19, Barenboim takes the stage with baritone Michael Volle for Brahms’s Vier ernste Gesänge, select Schumann Lieder, and Wolf’s Möricke-Lieder. Barenboim returns to the Schiller Theater on November 6 for works by Brahms, Mahler, Sibelius and Boulanger with soprano Nina Stemme. They reprise this program on November 8 at the Musikverein in Vienna. November 30, Barenboim returns to Berlin and is joined by violinist Wolfram Brandl and cellist Sennu Laine for Schumann’s Piano Trio No. 1 and Piano Trio No. 2.
