Daniel Barenboim appears in trio recital throughout April

Daniel Barenboim joins his son, violinist Michael Barenboim, and cellist Kian Soltani for a series of trio recitals in April 2018.

The group appears at the Klavier-Festival Ruhr on 20 April, presenting three of Beethoven’s Piano Trios.

On 21 & 22 April at Berlin’s Pierre Boulez Saal, they perform Beethoven’s Piano Trio in G Major Op. 1/2 and Piano Trio in C Minor Op. 1/3 in a program that also sees Daniel and Michael Barenboim interpret Goehr’s Largo Siciliano with french horn player Benjamin Goldscheider.

The trio is featured on a program with the Boulez Ensemble, once again at the Pierre Boulez Saal, on 26 April. They play Beethoven’s Piano Trio in B flat Major Op. 97, “Erzherzog” alongside the Boulez Ensemble’s performance of Boulez’s sur Incises.
