Mozart/Bruckner Cycle: Barenboim & Staatskapelle Berlin on tour in Europe

Continuing their exploration of the music of Mozart and Bruckner, General Music Director Daniel Barenboim and the Staatskapelle Berlin tour Europe in January 2017.

They return to the Philharmonie de Paris for Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante with violinist Wolfram Brandl and violist Yulia Deyneka plus Bruckner’s Symphony No. 1 on 5 January. Also at the Philharmonie de Paris, Barenboim leads the orchestra in Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Bruckner’s Symphony No. 2 on 6 January; Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 22 and Bruckner’s Symphony No. 3 on 7 January; and Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D Major, “Coronation” and Bruckner’s Symphony No. 3 on 9 January.

Barenboim and the Staatskapelle Berlin appear at the Konzerthaus Berlin on 10 January, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D Major, “Coronation” alongside Bruckner’s Symphony No. 3.

To close their European tour, Barenboim leads the orchestra in Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D Major, “Coronation” and Bruckner’s Symphony No. 3 at Vienna’s Musikverein on 11 January.
