On April 15, Maestro Daniel Barenboim will lead the musicians of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra in concert at the Berlin Philharmonie, celebrating the orchestra’s 25th anniversary while reinforcing a passionate commitment to their mission.
In addition to Bruckner’s “Romantic” Symphony No. 4, the program includes Felix Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto with soloist Yamen Saadi, a Barenboim-Said Akademie alumnus and former concertmaster of the Divan who has held the same position with the Orchestra of the Vienna State Opera for the last two years.
