Following performances of The Tsar’s Bride at the Teatro alla Scala and concerts with the Milan house’s orchestra, Daniel Barenboim leads the German premiere of Elliott Carter’s “Instances” in two concerts with the Staatskapelle Berlin at the Philharmonie (March 18) and Konzerthaus (March 19). The Staatskapelle Berlin Music Director will also conduct Stravinsky’s Le sacre du printemps and Strauss’s Vier letzte Lieder with German soprano Dorothea Röschmann.
Barenboim has authored several pieces on his friend Elliott Carter.
