On August 22 and 23, on the heels of his European tour with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, Daniel Barenboim returns to the Salzburger Festspiele to lead the Wiener Philharmoniker in Mahler’s Ninth Symphony.
Peral Music – Daniel Barenboim’s digital record label “for the thinking ear” – has released an album that captures the Wiener Philharmoniker’s first recordings of Schoenberg’s Piano and Violin Concerti.
Barenboim performs the Piano Concerto under Pierre Boulez and conducts the Violin Concerto with Michael Barenboim.
