On January 19, Daniel Barenboim performs the music of Mozart with Michael Barenboim (violin) and Kian Soltani (cello) at Berlin’s Boulez Saal. The program features Mozart’s Piano Trio in B-flat Major, “Divertimento” (K. 254), Piano Trio in E Major (K. 542), and Piano Trio in C Major (K. 548).
Next, on January 20, the Boulez Ensemble performs the world premiere of Matthias Pintscher’s “New Work for Piano and Ensemble,” featuring Daniel Barenboim as piano soloist. The world premiere is commissioned by the Daniel Barenboim Foundation, with the support of Paul Sekhri and the Sekhri Family Foundation. The evening also includes Pintscher’s “Verzeichnete Spur” and Debussy’s “Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp.”
