This August, Daniel Barenboim conducts and performs several live, in-person concerts at the Pierre Boulez Saal and the Salzburg Festival. Beginning in Berlin on August 13 and 14, Barenboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra perform three concerts featuring works by Beethoven, Schoenberg, Boulez, and Wagner.
On August 16, Barenboim and the Orchestra travel to Austria to perform the program for the centennial season of the Salzburg Festival, joined by soloist Emmanuel Pahud. This performance will be broadcast on European television as follows:
