Next week, Daniel Barenboim performs at the digital edition of Mozartwoche 2021, a celebration of Mozart’s musical legacy running from January 27-January 31.
This year’s edition of Mozartwoche features ten concerts, including performances by Festival Artistic Director Rolando Villazon, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, Marie Sophie Hauzel, Thomas Hengelbrock, the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, Katharina Konradi, Jonathan Abernathy, Camerata Salzburg, Cecilia Bartoli and more.
Daniel Barenboim joins the festival for two performances, performing a program of piano duets with long-time collaborator Martha Argerich and conducting the Wiener Philharmoniker and soloist Cecilia Bartoli in a program of Mozart symphonies, a concert aria, and a piano concerto.
Mozartwoche 2021 will be available on television, radio, and online on ORF III, 3sat, Ö1, and Fidelio’s online platform to audiences in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
