This Fall, General Music Director Daniel Barenboim and the Staatsoper Berlin mark the reopening of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden.
To open the 2017/18 season, Barenboim takes the podium for the annual “Staatsoper für alle” concert on 30 September in the open air at Berlin’s Bebelplatz. On 3 and 6 October, they perform Schumann’s Scenes from Goethe’s Faust in collaboration with director Jürgen Flimm.
Barenboim and the Staatskapelle Berlin open their series of subscription concerts on October 4 & 5, performing the works of Widmann, Schumann, and Debussy. Pianist Maurizio Pollini is featured soloist.
