From March 7 through March 12, Daniel Barenboim conducts six performances of Georges Bizet’s Carmen at Staatsoper Unter den Linden.
The Martin Kušej production stars mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili as the seductive Carmen opposite tenor Michael Fabiano as Don José. The cast also includes Ildebrando D’Arcangelo (Escamillo) and Christiane Karg (Michaëla).
Barenboim conducts March 7, 10, and 12. The March 12 performance will be streamed online at rbbKultur and Staatsoper Unter den Linden.
