Celebrating Beethoven’s 250th Anniversary with Beethoven’s Piano Sonatas

This spring, Daniel Barenboim joins the ongoing celebration of Beethoven’s 250th anniversary with an ongoing recital series featuring performances of Beethoven’s Piano Sonatas.

Following performances in Paris and Cologne, Barenboim embarks on a series of recitals at Pierre Boulez Saal (Berlin) as part of Boulez Saal’s “Year of Beethoven.” For the first time, Barenboim performs all thirty-two of Beethoven’s Piano Sonatas in chronological order, providing a unique and exciting look at Beethoven’s development as a composer.

Later in the season, Barenboim is joined by frequent collaborator Pinchas Zuckerman for three performances featuring Beethoven’s complete Violin Sonatas (February 29, March 1, and March 8).
