This month Daniel Barenboim will lead the Staatskapelle Berlin in the German capital’s premiere performances of Jörg Widmann’s Teufel Amor at the city’s Philharmonie (November 11) and Konzerthaus (November 17). Violinist Guy Braunstein guests with Barenboim and the Staatskapelle for these concerts in Mendeslssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor. Also included on the program are Weber’s Overture to Die Freischütz and Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloë.
