As part of Festtage 2016, Daniel Barenboim leads the Wiener Philharmoniker on 19 March in a performance of Mahler’s monumental Symphony No. 9. The performance takes place at the Berliner Philharmonie.
Barenboim first performed with the Wiener Philharmoniker as a pianist in the 1960’s, and first conducted the orchestra in 1989.
