Returning to lead the Staatsoper Berlin, General Music Director Daniel Barenboim conducts Strauss’s Elektra at the Schiller Theater this fall.
Patrice Chéreau’s production receives its premiere on 23 October, with additional performances on 26 & 29 October and 1 & 4 November. The cast spotlights Waltraud Meier as Klytämnestra, Evelyn Herlitzius as Elektra, Adrianne Pieczonka as Chrysothemis, Stephan Rügamer as Aegisth and Michael Volle as Orest.
