European recital tour

Daniel Barenboim embarks on a seven-city, nine-concert recital tour of Europe.

The tour commences on 19 & 20 November at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Italy. In Rome, Barenboim presents a solo piano recital at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia on 21 November.

Barenboim performs at Zaragoza, Spain’s Auditorio de Zaragoza on 23 November, Barcelona’s Palau de la Música Orfeó Catalá on 24 November and takes the stage at Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional de Música for works by Debussy and Schubert on 27 November.

At Geneva, Switzerland’s Victoria Hall, Barenboim performs a solo recital on 28 November.

Barenboim’s recital tour closes with two performances of sonatas by Schubert at Munich, Germany’s Gasteig. On 3 December, Barenboim presents Schubert’s Piano Sonata in a minor, D. 537; Piano Sonata in A Major, D. 664; and Piano Sonata in A Major, D. 959. Barenboim performs Schubert’s Piano Sonata in B Major, D. 575; Piano Sonata in G Major, D. 894; and Piano Sonata in c minor, D. 958 on 5 December.
