The new recording celebrates a triple anniversary: Beethoven’s 250th birthday, the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra’s 20th anniversary, and the 40th anniversary of Anne-Sophie Mutter and Yo-Yo Ma’s recording of the concerto with pianist Mark Zeltser and Herbert von Karajan.
