On January 13, Daniel Barenboim embarks on a European tour, performing the piano sonatas of Ludwig van Beethoven. A master interpreter of these pieces, Barenboim first performed all 32 Beethoven piano sonatas in 1960 at the age of 17. Since then, Barenboim has frequently performed and recorded the master composer’s works.
Upcoming performances include Ruhr Piano Festival (January 13), Andermatt Music Festival (January 15), Gasteig Concert Hall (January 17), and Philharmonie de Paris (January 19 and 21).
