Staatskapelle Berlin summer concerts

Currently conducting Don Giovanni at the Staatsoper Berlin’s Schiller Theater through July 6, Daniel Barenboim will lead the Staatskapelle Berlin in two Berlin concerts that showcase the music of Tchaikovsky and Brahms, performed by celebrated interpreters of their work. On July 1, pianist Yefim Bronfman joins Barenboim and the Staatskapelle for its annual “Staatskapelle für Alle” concert in Berlin’s Bebelplatz. The open-air concert’s all-Tchaikovsky program will include the composer’s First Piano Concerto as well as his Fourth Symphony.

For the Staatskapelle’s July 4 concert at Berlin’s Philharmonie, violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter will be featured soloist in Brahms’s Violin Concerto. The evening will also include the composer’s Fourth Symphony.
