Vienna Philharmonic and Barenboim to perform together at Salzburg’s annual Mozart Week

On February 4, Daniel Barenboim joins the Vienna Philharmonic for anexceptional concert in Salzburg at the Grosses Festspielhaus. The performance is part of the annual Salzburg Mozart Week presented by the International Mozarteum Foundation. In addition to conducting the Philharmonic in Schoenberg’s Chamber Symphony, Barenboim will also take on the role of piano soloist, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerti nos. 24 and 26. Mozart featuresprominently throughout the maestro’s schedule this February. Following his Mozart Week performance with the Vienna Philharmonic, he returns to the Staatsoper Berlin to conduct six performances of Le nozze di Figaro throughout the month.
