Barenboim leads Filarmonica della Scala in concerts in Paris, Frankfurt, and Milan this January

Daniel Barenboim, who recently began his tenure as Music Director of the Teatro alla Scala, leads the Filarmonica della Scala in concerts highlighting the music of Maurice Ravel this January both at home in Milan and on tour in Paris and Frankfurt. The performances in Milan on January 26, in Paris on January 28, and in Frankfurt on January 30 and 31 include four of Ravel’s works: Rapsodie espagnoleAlborada del graciosoPavane pour une enfante défunte, and Boléro. On January 29, Barenboim doubles as maestro and soloist in a second Paris program that includes Mozart’s “Coronation” concerto as well as works by Debussy, Verdi, and Rossini.
