Barenboim leads the Teatro alla Scala on tour in Europe & Russia

This month, house Music Director Daniel Barenboim takes the Teatro alla Scala on tour across Europe and to Moscow for performances at the historic Bolshoi Theatre.

The maestro leads the Filarmonica e Coro della Scala and a superb ensemble of soloists in Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem at home in Milan (August 27) and then on tour in Lucerne (August 29) and Salzburg (September 1). All performances are joined by Soprano Anja Harteros, mezzo-soprano Elina Garanca, tenor Jonas Kaufmann, and bass René Pape.

On September 6, 8, and 10, the Teatro alla Scala presents Robert Carsen’s production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. In addition to conducting these Moscow performances, Barenboim will also conduct the Filarmonica della Scala in a concert of Mozart symphonies on September 9.
