Barenboim + West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, equal in music, make return to US this November

Daniel Barenboim leads the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra on a five-city tour of the United States in November 2018, marking the orchestra’s first visit to the US in five years. They are joined by two featured soloists, Iranian cellist Kian Soltani and Israeli violist Miriam Manasherov.

Barenboim conducts the Divan in Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony and, with Soltani and Manasherov, R. Strauss’s Don Quixote.

The coast-to-coast tour opens at Symphony Center in Chicago on 5 November. Barenboim and the Divan appear on the East Coast at Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center on 7 November and New York’s Carnegie Hall on 8 November. Traveling to the West Coast, they are presented by CAL Performances at Berkeley’s Zellerbach Hall on 10 November and perform at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on 11 November.
