On October 23, Daniel Barenboim leads the Barenboim-Said Akademie Orchestra in a concert at Berlin’s Pierre Boulez Saal. The orchestra made its debut at the venue in April 2023. The October concert marks the first of four Academy Concerts this season, with additional performances led by Barenboim on January 19, April 14, and June 5, 2024.
Later, on November 2, Daniel Barenboim returns to the Opéra de Monte Carlo to conduct Verdi’s famous Messa da Requiem. The maestro leads the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra with soloists Marina Rebeka (soprano), Ekaterina Semenchuk (mezzo-soprano), Michael Spryes (tenor), and Ildar Abrazakov (bass). Choirmaster Stefano Visconti leads the Monte Carlo Opera Choir.
