Daniel Barenboim joins the Boulez Ensemble for the latest release from Peral Music, his digital record label “for the thinking ear.” The new album captures a live performance of Pierre Boulez’s Sur Incises at Berlin’s Pierre Boulez Saal.
“Boulez’s works always manage to give you the maximum possibilities with the material involved,” says Daniel Barenboim. “In others words, if he had a choice between writing something very simply or making it more complex but more colorful and more interesting, then of course he would choose the latter.”
