This June, General Music Director Daniel Barenboim conducts four performances of Richard Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde at Staatsoper unter den Linden.
The Dmitri Tcherniakov production features Andreas Schager and Anja Kampe, as Tristan and Isolde, two lovers tormented by unfulfilled longing and desire. The cast also includes René Pape (King Marke), Boaz Daniel (Kurwenal), Stephan Rüfamer (Melot), and Violeta Urmana (Brangäne).
Performances run June 15, 20, 25, & 28 at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden.
